Can I just say, "yuuummmm". This was a pinterest recipe that I've been wanting to try, and I have to say, it did not disappoint. I used the entire 2 tablespoons of red pepper flakes, and it is super spicy! So, if you want less spicy, definitely use less! I changed the recipe a bit. But the original recipe is on pinterest if you want to do the original.
1 box of linguine or angel hair pasta, cooked (I used linguine)
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cooked and chopped
1 to 2 cups broccoli, steamed and chopped
1/2 to 2 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes (depending on how spicy you want it)
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon onion salt (or powder)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
6 tablespoons honey
6 tablespoons soy sauce
I did not have any of the below on hand, but am sure that they would make the recipe even that much better.
3/4 cup peanuts, chopped
toasted sesame seeds
Cook pasta, chicken and broccoli and toss together in bowl. Combine vegetable oil, peanut oil, garlic, onion salt and red pepper in a saute pan. Saute for 2 minutes. Strain red pepper out of oil, and set the oil aside. Whisk together honey and soy sauce. Then mix together with the oils. Pour mixture over pasta and toss until well coated. Top with peanuts and sesame seeds and serve.
