Thanksgiving with Friends
I didn't take a ton of pictures this year. But here's a few.
We celebrated Thanksgiving at our house with 16 adults and 12 children. A full house with lots of wonderful food and fellowship!
Matt smoked and then fried the turkey. It was DELICIOUS! We will definitely be cooking it like that from now on!

Ellijay with the Cornett Fam
We had a great visit to Ellijay, GA to see Matt's family a couple of weeks ago. Grandma Ellie drove down from South Carolina to spend a few days with us. John, Deb and Orson drove from North Carolina to spend the weekend with us as well. We got to celebrate Orson's first birthday too!
And we drove down to Rome, GA because John had a meeting for work there. We decided to go along so that we could hang out them and bit more and to see the Berry College campus where John and Deb attended college.
Orson is not officially walking yet, but he is running everywhere with this little walk behind toy!
When John and Matt were growing up, Michael and Gabe were vegetarians So, Michael had never grilled a steak for these two boys. We spent an evening at the ranch, around the fire, while Michael grilled some delicious goat steaks for all of us. These two were very excited to eat their first ever dad grilled steak!
Uncle Matt and Orson hanging out.
Orson doing a few chin-ups : )
The beautiful cake Deb made for Orson's birthday.

the Nugget
The great benefit of having a friend who takes wonderful pictures, is that I got to have a few more pictures taken of Matthew and me and this little Cornnugget. :) Thanks Sarah for taking pictures for us again!
Matt was being a goofball and making me laugh.
Jasper wanted in on the fun too!
The below Georgia beanie is the beanie that Mama bought Matt and me for our first little baby Cornett.
And this is the one that Mama bought for our second little baby Cornett.
We are so thankful.

Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Muffins
I made these for breakfast this morning. I wanted something quick and easy that Matt could eat on his way to work without too much mess. These turned out really good! I changed the original recipe because I wanted a muffin that had more eggs and a little less bread. After making them, I think you could even add a couple more eggs to the recipe (although they were really good this way).
Sausage, Egg and Cheese Muffins
8oz breakfast sausage, browned
2 cups Bisquick (If you don't have Bisquick you can substitute using: 1 Cup flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 Tablespoon shortening, oil or melted butter...per cup of Bisquick needed)
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
3/4 cup buttermilk
4 eggs
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Heat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients together in bowl. Put dough in greased muffin tins. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
This recipe made 6 of the large muffins for me.
