Last night my friends, Devin and Sarah, experienced a tragedy that I hoped they would never have to go through. Devin's 19 year old brother, Logan, was killed in a motorcycle accident. They are relying on God during this time and are aware that God is sovereign and that God will provide for their every need during this time. But, that does not take away or change the great pain that comes from a loss that is so great. Please keep them in your prayers.
Here are a few pictures that I had of Logan.
"I was pushed back and about to fall,
but the Lord helped me.
The Lord is my strength and my defense;
he has become my salvation." ~Psalm 118:13-14
"For no one is cast off by the Lord forever.
Though he brings grief, he will show compassion,
so great is his unfailing love.
For he does not willingly bring affliction
or grief to anyone....
Who can speak and have it happen
if the Lord has not decreed it?
Is it not from the mouth of the Most High
that both calamities and good things come?
....I called on your name, LORD,
from the depths of the pit.
You heard my plea: “Do not close your ears
to my cry for relief.”
You came near when I called you,
and you said, “Do not fear.” ~Lamentations 3
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." ~Revelation 21:4

I'm thankful for their faith in God. Possibly you were put in their lives because you can be another source of comfort and strength to them as you truly do know how it feels... heartbreaking. There is so much pain in this life here on earth, but lots of joy too.
Dear Father,
We don't know Your reasons or Your plan, but we know You have one and we trust You. Lay Your loving hands on Sarah, Devin, and his family. Give them comfort beyond measure. Oh, Lord, please do these things in Jesus' name.
Amen
I only had a few interactions with Logan. One of the neatest was when my family was on a plane ride coming from FL back to AZ. We had a stop in Colorado before flying to AZ and guess who was sitting next to me?! Logan! I thought I recognized him and asked if he was Devin's brother. I am so sad he was taken so soon :(
Absolutely, heartbreaking.
